We invite you to the biggest ball in the history of the Hungarian ballroom scene, THE BIG SCREEN BALL presented by Father Daniel Elle in association with MD Dance Company and the Hungarian French Institute. The event will be organized as a part of Frankofón Filmnapok. Get ready for a night on the red carpet, where every magical moment from the screen comes to real life!

Don't forget, that this is a major ball, your outfit needs to not only fit the theme but also carry otherwise, a chop can wait for you from the judges.

FACE (MF,FF)

- Black Swan (2010) by Darren Aronofsky. Choose a side, and bring it in all black or all white with mandatory feathers.

RUNWAY (OTA European, OTA All-American, OTA Beginner)

- The Artist (2011) by Michel Hazanavicius. Bring it in a 1920s-inspired outfit with a touch of the modern fashion.
(Beginner: walking runway categories at balls for less than a year and/or never won beginner runway at a major ball)

BEST DRESSED

- Be inspired by any movie character, and bring it to fashion! Reference pictures are mandatory!

BIZARRE

- The Fly (1986) by David Cronenberg. Be inspired by the main character's transformation and bring it to an extra level!

NAILS AFFAIRE 

- Made In Hungária (2009) by Gergely Fonyó. Extravagant nails were not a thing in the '60s, but colors, stripes, and dot patterns were. Bring it in a retro look and show us what ovah nails would you have done for yourself at a Hungária concert.

OTA BEST MAKEUP 

- Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) by Luc Besson. During the movie, we can see thousands of amazing and beautiful aliens. Be inspired by them and show your amazing makeup. It can be beauty, editorial, SFX, you choose!

DRAG LIP SYNC

- A Star Is Born (2018) Bradley Cooper. In honor of one of the main actors Lady Gaga, be ready to sing any of her most famous songs, and bring it in a look inspired by one of her iconic red carpet outfits (inspiration picture is mandatory)

REALNESS (FF)

- Amélie (2001) by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Bring it in a vintage look inspired by the main character, and add your personal style.

REALNESS (MF)

- Taxi (film series: 1998, 2000, 2003, 2007) by Gérard Pirès, Gérard Krawczyk. In the famous series which is played in Marseille, one of the main characters, the taxi driver Daniel Morales mostly wears football jerseys. Bring it as him.

REALNESS WITH A TWIST

- The theme is the same as for mf realness. Once we are done with the battles in realness, we call you out for your tens in vogue fem.

SEX SIREN (FF, MF) & BODY (FF, MF)

- The Matrix (1999) by Lana & Lilly Wachowski. The well-known movie acts as an early trans allegory. Bring it in all black, with a mandatory leather/PVC jacket or coat for your 10s.

OTA BEGINNERS PERFORMANCE (walking any performance category less than a year)

- Climax (2018) by Gaspar Noé. Many well-known people from the ballroom scene act in the movie, for example, Legendary Keehdi Gorgeous Gucci, Legendary Kendall Miyake-Mugler, Legendary GG Revlon, and even more.  During the opening performance of the movie most of the vogue fem people are wearing red and black outfits, get inspired by them!

POP DIP N SPIN 

- La Haine (1995) by Mathieu Kassovitz. Bring it in a black and white hip-hop outfit.

NEW WAY 

- Yamakasi (2001) by Julien Seri, Ariel Zeitoun. Bring it in your version of a housebreaker outfit.

ARMS VS. HANDS 

- Enter The Void (2009) by Gaspar Noé. Be inspired by the vibrant club scene, and bring it in neon colors.

SEXY PERFORMANCE 

- Barbie (2023) by Greta Gerwig. Bring it in an all-pink cute outfit. Shoes don't count but bring it cvnt!

VOGUE FEM (FF, BQ, Over All Winner) 

- Battle: Freestyle (2022) by Ingvild Søderlind. The Norwegian Netflix movie is played and was mostly shot in Budapest and Paris. Many of the great local dancers were also part of the cast, from the Hungarian ballroom scene Father Daniel Elle, who was wearing all black outfit with chain accessories, and Katja 007 in all pink. Be inspired by them and bring it in a black-pink outfit.

VOGUE TO EVERYTHING 

- Pulp Fiction (1994) by Quentin Tarantino. Bring back one of the outfits from the legendary movie.
